I was reminded how my doubts, fears, insecurities, and misunderstandings of grace block my spirit from trusting in the abundance of good that God promises His children.
So, what are we supposed to have? A soft heart, open and vulnerable? A stiff heart, firm and steadfast?
He didn’t care that I had some holiday weight hanging on my hips, unwashed hair up in a haphazard bun, and no make-up on. He didn’t care. I was there, and I was doing my best to love him. That’s all he wanted.
